Sky Mirror, Sasaran Beach

  • Named after the mirror-like reflection of the sky, Sky Mirror in Kuala Selangor is a unique natural attraction that only emerges for several days in a month, on the first and 15th of the lunar month as well as four days before and after these dates.
  • A hidden sandbar emerges when the tide is ideal and creates a magical setting for photography enthusiasts. This attraction is also dubbed the Salar de Uyuni of Malaysia, a similar natural wonder in Bolivia. Sasaran Beach is located about 30 minutes’ boat ride from Jeram, a coastal fishing village.

Firefly Parks, Kuala Selangor

  • Hailed as 'the eighth wonder of the world,' the firefly colonies of Kuala Selangor are a natural phenomenon. The villages of Kampung Kuantan and Kampung Bukit Belimbing are among the few places in the world where visitors can watch the synchronized flashing of fireflies.
  • Enjoy a ride on a sampan (traditional wooden boat) along the river to watch the spectacular display. Visitors are required to make their bookings in advance.

Batu Caves

  • The magnificent Batu Caves are one of the top tourist attractions in Malaysia. This 100-year-old temple features idols and statues erected inside the main caves and around it. Incorporated with interior limestone formations said to be around 400 million years old, the temple is considered an important religious landmark by Hindus.

Sekinchan

  • Though Sekinchan is a fishing village, it is a lot more famous for its beautiful stretches of rice paddies. These rice paddies dominate the landscapes of Sekinchan, and it is probably the best thing to do in Sekinchan.
  • Visiting the Sekinchan rice paddy fields is a must if you come from a stressful city such as Kuala Lumpur as they remind you of the simpler days. Watch the rice plants flow freely in the wind, listen to the sounds of the birds, and feel your worries dissipate from your body.
